Developing better UX/UI experiences through human centred design is what I specialise in doing.

UX, or User Experience refers to the strategic user, business and market research and analysis to develop ways of better catering to and delighting your customers/users. Working in an agile methodology, I apply the double diamond technique below to all UX design sprints to truly develop the best tailored solution for your users and business - both now and in the future - through an iterative approach.

Discover ↔ Define ↔ Design/Develop ↔ Deliver

The first stage of UX is purely research based to understand the strategy and scope of the project, both in terms of business, market and user goals. A pivotal part of the UX process in the discovery stage I bring together various departments within an organisation to understand the complete picture of the user/customer from each touch point within the business. Following this, I perform a number of qualitative and quantitative research techniques tailored to your business needs.

Stakeholder Interviews | Analytics Review | Competitor Analysis | SWOT | Heuristic Site Evaluation | User Surveys | Focus Groups | User Interviews | User Testing | User Journeys | Content Audit

Analysis of the variety of data from the discovery stage is then peformed to formally identify key trends, insights and pain-points. This stage ensures the 'why' is understood, highlights user needs, provides context for decisions and ensure assumptions and bias are not being made.

Affinity Mapping | Card Sorting | User Personas | Customer Journey/Experience Map | Story Boards | Sitemap

How does great UX UI make your business grow?

Understand how your customers tick, now and in the future.

Improve acquisition

Drive customer retention

Align internal business departments

A collaborative and iterative process of design. Having identified the user, business and market needs this stage is where the fun creative magic happens! Building on the user feedback loop established in the previous stages, the design phase puts low/mid fidelity interactive wireframes and semi-functioning prototypes in front of the stakeholders and users to get feedback, refine and repeat.

Concluding from this, the high-fidelity design is created incorporating including all branding, content and digital assets to be validated by stakeholders.

Paper Prototype | Wireframes | A/B Testing | User Testing | Design Sprints | Mood Boards | Sketch | Adobe XD | Invision

Working with the developers, to guide and champion the vision!

Generally clients take me on to deliver the whole UX/UI process - I have however worked on projects focusing purely on the Discovery & Defining UX stages and then handed over to in-house designers. Whatever suits you best!
